Sunday, May 19, 2024, was a spiritually enriching day at Pender United Methodist Church as we celebrated both Pentecost and our Annual Faith Promise Missions Conference. This special day was filled with music, messages, and inspiration.
Here’s what happened:
1. Flag Processional: Our service began with an uplifting opening hymn, "We've a Story to Tell to the Nations," accompanied by a vibrant flag processional.
2. Missions Moment: Laura Bowers from Cru shared enlightening insights during the Missions Moment, highlighting the impact of faith in global communities.
3. Children’s Performance: Just before the children’s message, enjoy a heartwarming performance by the Pender Sunday School children, who sang "Lord I Lift Your Name on High."
4. Children's Message: Laura Bowers also delivered a special message to our youngest members, inspiring the next generation of faithful leaders.
5. Guest Speakers: We were honored to welcome David and Laura Shuping from Path International. They discussed "The Holy Spirit in the Great Commission" echoing the theme of our Missions Conference.
