Trinity Sunday, June 12, 2022

On Trinity Sunday, June 12, 2022, Guest Pastor, Rev. Denise Childers, preached on "God in Three Persons" based on Romans 5:1-5 and John 16:12-15.

Rev. Childers is a retired elder in the Virginia Annual Conference. She pastored churches in South Carolina and Northern Virginia as well as service as a mental health chaplain. Currently, Denise serves as Director of Senior Adult ministry at Grace UMC in Manassas.

Trinity Sunday is the first Sunday after Pentecost in the Western Christian liturgical calendar, and the Sunday of Pentecost in Eastern Christianity. Trinity Sunday celebrates the Christian doctrine of the Trinity, the three Persons of God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

June 12 was also Music Appreciation Sunday.
