Passage: Mark 16:1-8

We celebrated the pinnacle of the Christian faith together this past Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Pender UMC, during our special combined service. We experienced the power of resurrection and redemption as Pastor Bruce delivered a compelling message titled “God’s Best Sermon,” drawing from the heart of the Gospel in Acts 10:34-43, 1 Corinthians 15:1-11, and Mark 16:1-8.

This extraordinary service not only explored the profound depths of Christ's resurrection but also invited us to partake in the sacred act of Holy Communion, connecting us all in a moment of divine unity and grace. As we reflected on the scripture's revelations, we journeyed together through the awe-inspiring narrative of Jesus' victory over death, illuminating the path of faith, hope, and eternal life.

The crescendo of our Easter celebration was the triumphant strains of the Hallelujah Chorus, which filled the air with joyous praise and worship, symbolizing our collective rejoicing in the resurrection of Christ. It was not just a service; it was a spiritual journey that uplifted, inspired, and renewed our faith.

Together, we came to honor the resurrection of Jesus, embracing the message of hope and salvation that defines this holy day.

Jane McKee revealed exciting details about Pender's annual mission trip to Philippi happening in July.

She highlighted the diverse volunteer opportunities available for this transformative journey. But that's not all – she also announced that the Easter offering would be dedicated to building Tiny Houses for Philippi. Imagine the impact! We have the chance to purchase kits, assemble them into cozy homes, and then watch as Ruston Seaman and his dedicated team transport these nests of hope to Philippi.

Dive into this heartwarming mission with us, contribute to a cause that rebuilds lives, and be a part of a community that cares.
