On Sunday, July 20, 2025, the Seventh Sunday after Pentecost, Pender United Methodist Church gathered for a meaningful and inspiring worship service. Pastor Bruce Johnson preached a sermon titled "Character Matters", drawing from Genesis 13:1–18 and Luke 12:13–21 to explore how integrity, humility, and faithfulness shape our walk with God.

The congregation also heard a brief and heartfelt recap from Jane McKee, Mark Atwood, and Arlet Williams about the recent youth mission trip to Philippi, West Virginia.

As part of the service’s musical offering, Sean Wittmer performed “Allemande” from J.S. Bach’s Partita in d minor on violin—a beautiful moment of classical reflection and worship.

Unfortunately, the entire service did not record.

Whether in person or online, those who joined were renewed by God’s Word, music, and the warmth of Christian community.
