ONE MORE CHURCH FOR CHRIST

Pedro and Carla, have been missionaries in Paraguay for about 30 years and have seen the Methodist church of Paraguay grow from 1 church to over 30 today.  By God’s grace a new church in the project called “one church more for Christ” opened its doors with a “happy hour” for children.  For the first weekend activity, they had 69 children.  From this event on, a Bible school program is held every Saturday morning.  The plan is to start home Bible study groups among families in their neighborhood.

With the Children’s Ministry, they have been supporting a special work done in one of the churches in Asuncion neighborhood, in the city of Luque.  Every year in Paraguay they have a special day for the children called “Children’s Day”.  On that day, the churches have special programs for children with games, prizes, treats,  and of course sharing the gospel with them.   This time they were able not only to reach children with the gospel, but also their moms who brought them to the activity.  While the Moms were waiting for their children, they had the opportunity to share with them the love of God.

Pedro and Carla also hold prayer meetings in different areas of the country.  In the Asuncion suburb, they had Companions in Prayer Program follow-up.  They are aiming to form prayer groups online through apps like Zoom and Whats App.  They already have several groups.  They are also part of a group formed by national prayer leaders  of various denominations, praying for all of the churches and the Paraguay nation.
