PRAISE GOD, HE IS AT WORK!

In 1911, Lillian Trasher obeyed God, left the United States, left her fiancé and went straight to Asuit (in the Middle East) not knowing fully what plans the Lord had for the region. Today stands the well-known orphanage of Lillian Trasher there.

Correspondence from one of Pender’s missionaries, Aida, tells of her ministry in the middle east. She leads prayer meetings and conferences throughout the area including at the Lillian Trasher Orphanage.

Souad was born blind, as an unwanted outcast, abandoned and left at the orphanage when she was 1 day old. Her parents were too poor to take care of her, like thousands of other children left at the orphanage. But God had different plans for Souad when her parents abandoned her.

Today, a beautiful woman, Souad grew up and was nurtured physically, emotionally and spiritually, at Lillian Trasher Orphanage and discovered she was wonderfully and beautifully made by her creator.

Aida recounts her time with Souad, “As I prayed for her, she expressed her thankfulness for her situation and as I was leaving, she would not stop crying. These people still need love and acceptance from community and people. We are called to love on them because that’s the love of Christ at work.”

Aida had the privilege to partner with a ministry that has such a solid foundation in the community. It was a beautiful time of revival and prayer and she was asked by the director to have a more permanent part in the facilitating of prayer.

In closing Aida says, “I am so encouraged and want to encourage you, with the great news that lives are being changed everyday in the remotest parts of the globe Women and children are in need of purpose and direction. So many have accepted the Lord into their lives and so many have experienced answered prayers, emotionally, spiritually, even physically in our prayer meetings.

Praise God, He is at work and loves these people so much.
