DO YOU KNOW?
Pender Missionaries, Issam and Abla serve in the Middle East and Canada. They work with church leaders training them in discipling new believers and also how to share Christ with Muslims. They reside in Canada and they use their gazebo to entertain Syrian and Jordanian couples. Conversations include topics such as why Jesus is the only way and the need to believe in Him as Savior. One of the non-Christian guests visited Issam and opened his heart and shared how he was led to immigrate to Canada in an unusual way. Issam asked him, “May I continue your story?”
When the guest said yes, Issam told him that God had brought him to Halifax to meet him and hear the good news of the gospel, then he said, “you need to trust Jesus as your Savior.” The guest strongly assured him that he believes in Jesus and swore that he would say yes to everything he told him. Issam and Abla have known this couple for 3 years and exchanged many visits with them. Please pray that he will develop a personal faith in Jesus and that he and his wife will read Issam’s booklet, “Do you Know?” and put their faith in Christ.
This is one of many times that Issam and Abla have shared the good news of the gospel with non-Christians. Please pray for this ministry and for open hearts as they hear the word.
