As a new school year begins, we invite students, teachers, school staff, bus drivers, administrators, and parents to take part in our Blessing of the Backpacks!
This joyful annual tradition is a special time to gather as a church family and pray for those beginning a new academic year. Bring your backpack—or simply bring yourself—for a prayer of protection, strength, wisdom, kindness, and encouragement.
Together, we will ask God to watch over everyone as they travel to and from school, learn and teach, make new friends, face new challenges, and carry the responsibilities of the year ahead.
All ages are welcome as we begin the new school year surrounded by prayer and the love of our Pender community.
