Friends, family, and neighbors, you’re warmly invited to a special Back to Church service this Sunday at Pender United Methodist Church in Fairfax, VA! This is a beautiful opportunity to reconnect, recharge, and rejoice as we come together in faith and fellowship.
For over 50 years, Pender UMC has been a beacon of hope in our community, a place where love, worship, and service have thrived. Now, more than ever, our church—and your church—needs you! Like many congregations, we’ve faced challenges through the pandemic, but now is the time to return, rebuild, and rediscover the joy that comes from being part of a church family. There’s spiritual renewal waiting for all of us!
After the 10 AM service, stay for an All-Church BBQ lunch—a chance to break bread together and strengthen the bonds that make this church feel like home.
I’m thrilled to be playing the cello with the choir for the first time this Sunday. In anticipation of this great honor at dusk I played “He Is Exalted” in front of the church entrance.
On Sunday Patrick King will direct us as we play ‘The Heart of Worship’ by Matt Redman, and Shalom In Minor. Pastor Bruce Johnson will speak on ‘Blessing God’. And you’ll experience the warmth of fellowship with one of the coolest congregations in northern Virginia.
So come as you are! Whether you’ve been away for a while or are searching for a new church home, this is your Sunday. The doors are wide open, and we’re counting on you to help make this a joyful reunion!
We can’t wait to see you at 10 AM this Sunday!"
