Join us for worship at Pender United Methodist Church on Sunday, August 2, 2026, the Tenth Sunday after Pentecost, as we gather for a morning of worship, prayer, and Holy Communion.
Pastor Bruce Johnson will share the message: “Wrestling With Love”.
Life is filled with moments when we wrestle with uncertainty, relationships, and our faith. In this week's message, Pastor Bruce explores how God meets us in the midst of our struggles, transforming our hearts and reminding us that His love is steadfast, even when life is challenging.
Our Scripture readings invite us to reflect on God's faithfulness, Christ's compassion, and the abundance of God's grace:
Genesis 32:22–31 (Jacob Wrestles with God)
Romans 9:1–5
Matthew 14:13–21 (Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand)
During this service, we will celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion, remembering Christ's invitation to all who seek His grace.
