On Pentecost Sunday, May 24, 2026, join us at Pender United Methodist Church for a vibrant and Spirit-filled celebration of the birth of the Church and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Bruce Johnson will share the message: “Filled with the Holy Spirit”.

Acts 2:1–21 (NRSV) with John 3:16
John 7:37–39 (NRSV)
As we remember the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, we will celebrate the unity of God’s people through the reading of John 3:16 in multiple languages, reflecting the miracle of Pentecost and the Good News proclaimed to all nations.

This special worship service will also include the Sacrament of Baptism, as we rejoice in God’s grace, new life, and the work of the Holy Spirit in the Church today.

At 10:00 am, Pender offers a traditional/blended worship service. The service includes traditional music as well as praise music. You’ll find a variety of musical groups participating in these worship services, ranging from children, youth and adults, to vocal, flute, recorder and bell choirs.
At Pender’s traditional/blended service, you get the best of both worlds! We celebrate the traditions of our faith at these services with the scriptures, the creeds of the church, the symbols of our faith and a word from the Bible that applies spiritual principles to everyday life.
Holy Communion is shared the first Sunday of every month. Come and join us for worship every Sunday in the main sanctuary at Pender.
