Community Pentecost Service – May 23 at 5:00 PM

We are excited to invite you to our first Community Pentecost Service, a joyful and Spirit-filled gathering of neighboring congregations coming together in unity and worship.

Participating churches include:
Chantilly Baptist
King of Kings Lutheran
Korean United Methodist Church of Koinonia
Ox Hill Baptist
Pender United Methodist Church

Saturday, May 23 at 5:00 PM
Location: King of Kings Lutheran Church

This special service will celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost and the ongoing work of the Spirit who unites us in the risen Christ and equips the Church for God’s mission in the world.

The service will include congregational singing, prayer, and Scripture, but instead of a traditional sermon, representatives from each congregation will share personal and communal testimonies—witnessing to the power and presence of the Holy Spirit in their local church.

Inspired by the first Pentecost, we will hear Scripture proclaimed in multiple languages, along with creative expressions of faith through music, dance, drama, poetry, and prayer—a beautiful reflection of the diversity and unity of the Body of Christ.

Following the service, all are invited to stay for a potluck supper. Please bring a favorite dish to share—the more diverse, the better!

Come and be part of this meaningful evening as we celebrate the Spirit who brings us together and sends us out in love.
