I feel I am very blessed to be a part of Pender Hill School. My oldest son came here over thirty years ago, I taught in the Mother’s Day Out and Preschool programs for over 18 years before moving into the school office, and 2019 marks my 10thyear as Director.
I have been involved in Christian education for over 25 years and enjoy serving God, by working with people to help them grow in their walk with Him. I am a missionary at heart and always will be! I have been fortunate to have been a part of 10 overseas mission trips. I have been to Poland, Slovakia, Peru, and Guatemala. Most of my off time now is spent with my family and my two wonderful grandchildren.
I was a lucky kid to be born into a family, who were always active in the United Methodist Church. Through my parents and others, I learned how to be part of a wonderful family, Gods Family! Over the years I have had many different jobs within the church, such as Lay Speaker, Stephen Minister, VBS Director, Bible Study Leader, Sunday School Superintendent, and Co-Leader of Council on Ministries. I have always wanted to be where I can share the love of Christ, not just in church, but in the everyday of life, where sometimes it’s hard to see His Love for us.
The preschool is a wonderful place to share God’s love with the children and their families. I am reminded every morning when I hear sweet voices and little feet running down the hall, that Christ calls us to teach and love His little ones for Him.
I have seen God’s fingerprint all over the ministries of Pender, especially in the Preschool! We invite Him into our day every morning, and He has been beyond faithful, just as He promises.
