Pender Online Community

Our Pender Online Community is a wonderful way for current and former Pender friends to stay connected, even when life takes them far from Fairfax.

Recently, Joel Silverthorn, a relocated former Pender member, shared a video with the group along with this heartfelt message:

“From a relocated past Penderite, this is very important for my family.”

When asked how he's doing now, Joel said "Good thanks! This is my brother's mission that he built up in Ica Peru. I'm still on Zoom Bible study Saturday mornings with some Penderites and a lot of others. Now I'm at Anaheim United Methodist Church . Always feel better at an active Church . My wife and I are in Garden Grove California Home Depot transfer me here. If Garden Grove sounds familiar it's where the Crystal Cathedral is, now a Catholic Church."

It’s a beautiful reminder that the connections made at Pender can continue long after someone moves away. We’re grateful to Joel for sharing something meaningful to his family—and for continuing to be part of the Pender community from afar.
